The NFL had their 2015 rookie draft April 30 to May 2. Like every year
they have had great prospects, such as Ja'Daveon Clowney, and Johnny
Manziel. However, how many "First Round Busts" will we have this year?
Looking
at the facts, we can all remember the hype of Clowney. First pick of
the 2014 draft, he went to the Texans and played on the opposite side of
J.J. Watt. Clowney had a remarkable college career and was projected to
be a top DE his rookie season. However what did we get ? Injuries,
missed tackles, missed sacks, it is yet to be proven that Clowney is not
a bust.
Looking at it now, we saw the first draft pick
from Tampa Bay to be quarterback Jameis Winston (Right) and second
draft pick from Tennessee is Marcus Mariota. Now looking at their
characteristics, lets start with Marcus. Speedy and has a decent arm, he
can remind us of Robert Griffin III, who had similar careers in
college. However RGIII had a major injury in which his right knee was
heavily injured; can Marcus have the same fate? Winston nearly shares
the same characteristics as Mark Sanchez, who was also a first round
draft pick and went to the Jets. Even though Sanchez had a great
receiver core and running back core, he went absolutely no where; all
his hype died within a few years. The fact that these rookies are very
popular and quite talented, we can expect much from them, and hopefully
they will not end up like their near similar NFL "elders".

NICE!
